Placement and Career Guidance Centre

SIMS aims at nurturing Industry-Institute interaction by organizing numerous activities that provide students a feel of professionalism. The changed economic scenario across the globe has forced organizations to look for professionals who will be early contributors to business functions, wherein one can help add value to the organization and be a role model of its future growth.

SIMS enhance student’s employability skills by

  • Conducting intensive training to sharpen the Management Competencies of the students as required by the industry
  • Regular soft skill sessions includinglanguage improvement sessions
  • Regular Guest lectures from industry personnel for imparting practical view of the corporate world
  • Series of Mock interview and grooming sessions before the campus season
  • Corporate mentoring of the students by people from the industry to make them industry ready and acceptable

At career guidance centre, we offer our students a wealth of accurate and up-to-date information to help them make the right choice about their career. We guide students to explore how their aspirations and interests are related to various business practices in the corporate world.

Career Guidance is provided to the students by undergoing the following steps:

  • Students undergo several self-assessments, to identify their personality and career preferences.
  • We then provide them with detailed information about various industries and career options.
  • Post assessment, we equip our students with extensive and most effective Performance Enhancing Techniques.
  • These techniques help enhance student’s ability to learn and improve their overall performance both academically and professionally.
  • We have trained experts who teach such techniques and handle each student carefully. These sessions are tuned towards improving the mental performance and one's attitude towards learning.

Placement Guidelines

Below are some of the important Instructions/ Guidelines adhering to Campus/ Off Campus Recruitments for students. Please go through them minutely and follow as per standards.

  • It is the prime responsibility of students to check all the updates related to Campus recruitment Drives, its eligibility, dates, venue etc. available on your registered email accounts.
  • 2
  • It is mandatory for all Eligible Students to appear in all Companies coming for Campus Placement till they get placed. Failing to do so may result in cancellation of their candidature for further Campus Recruitments drives and no assistance will be extended to such students under any circumstances.
  • 3
  • Students will be given a choice to back out after the Presentation (PPT) of the company. No student will be allowed to back out from the company after clearing the 1st round, and also after getting selected. Failing which the student shall be barred from the entire placement.

  • All students need to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria of the company as mentioned in the email. All mark sheets are checked at the time of joining and if company finds that you have manipulated your marks/documents at the time of Campus Recruitment your job offer will be terminated and your name will be blacklisted forever.

  • All Students need to ensure that their Data is correctly given at Placement office. If there are any changes then they need to contact the Placement Officer immediately.

  • Students have to ensure that they report on time as mentioned in the email. Students coming late will be strictly not allowed to appear in that process.
  • Students have to wear business formals for every recruitment process. Students wearing casuals during recruitment process will be sent back.

  • Students are not allowed to contact Company/HR Delegates directly for any reason. If they are facing any problem they have to first contact their Placement Officer and discuss their problem with them.

  • Students have to arrange their own transport during campus/off campus recruitments.
  • 10
  • NCRD SIMS strictly follows “One Student One Job Policy”.
  • 11
  • Many a times it can happen that campus recruitment process can stretch late in the evening. All students have to inform this to their parents and should arrange their own transportation.
  • 12
  • Strict discipline needs to be followed by every student during the recruitment process. Any students found misbehaving or doing any sort of misconduct will be debarred from the entire placement season.
  • 13
  • Students are expected to research relevant website and make themselves acquainted with the locations, services offered, products in the Market, HR policies and all other relevant information about the organization.
